Bangalore has grown by leaps and bounds in the last decade. It has really evolved and improved, which is clear by the fact that it has the honour of being called the third best city to visit in the whole world. It was Lonely Planet who gave Bangalore this stature, which it truly deserves. Among other achievements, Bangalore is also the second fastest growing metropolis in the country. Nothing more needs to be said for the city as statistics speak for themselves.

Along with the fact that Bangalore, now called Bengaluru, houses a large part of the Indian IT sector, the city is also known for various other aspects. A notable aspect of the city is the gardens. As it is called the Silicon Valley due to the IT sector, Bangalore is also called the Garden City of India because of the ample number of beautiful gardens that it possesses. The city is a visual treat, and is adorned beautifully with hedges all over, and colourful flowers that cheer you up. The parks and gardens are lined with lights and possess beautifully maintained landscapes.

While there are many gardens in the city, some are more frequently visited by both, locals and tourists. One of the most famous ones is the Cubbon Park. Created by Richard Sankey in the year 1864, the garden possesses a collection of antique statues. Along with the statue of 19th century ruler Chamarajendra Wodedevar, statues of Queen Victoria and King Edward VII are located here.

The Kariappa Memorial Park, laid out in 1996 is also one of the better known gardens of the city. The 22 acre stretch is divided into six parts, and contains a man-made waterfall along with a pond. The monument of Kariappa is also erected in the middle of the park. Another park that is,by all accounts, the most famous one is the Lal Bagh. This garden is famous for the Glass House, whose architecture is inspired by the Crystal Place of London. It is surrounded by trees and natural beauty.

The charm of hotels in Bangalore equals that of the beautiful city. While various luxury hotels aim to provide a time of leisure and comfort to the customers, they also go way beyond that. Various extra amenities are provided like pick up and drop facilities at the airport, lavish rooms and top class service, swimming pools, spas and highly advanced gymnasiums. The aura of the city and the hospitality of the hotels warm the heart. So come over to Bangalore, and stay in the hotels to witness their charm. It is all definitely worth a personal experience.
