all the major chapters of the history of the State. Arms and
armours, art gallery with paintings and sculptures, various textiles,
this museum is a home of all. The collection of arms dates back to
15th century which is still preserved in an excellent condition. The
last stop of the day would be Hawa Mahal which is yet again a perfect
example of architecture and art. The five story building with several
windows was built for the royal ladies to enjoy the processions and
other activities while comfortably sitting behind the pink walls. The
location of this monument is also perfect as it situates itself right
at the centre of a busy business place.
After
you are done with this tall building and a small museum inside it,
drive to the lively Johri Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar to buy some
souvenirs if you wish. A halt at a sweet shop to taste the
traditional ‘ghewar’ made of butter is a must. While you enter
