Jaipur, famously known as the ‘Pink City’ is the capital city of Rajasthan, India. It is the perfect place to see the vibrant culture that the state is popular for. Govind Dev Ji Temple: Located inside the City Palace complex, this temple is one of the most sacred and famous tourist destinations in India. Govind Dev Ji, the diety of the temple, is another name for Lord Shri Krishna. The idol inside was brought to the temple by Raja Sawai Jai Singh from Vrindavan and is said to look exactly like Lord Shri Krishna during his incarnation on earth.





Khole Ke Hanumanji Temple: Situated at Laxman Dungri on the Delhi bypass in Jaipur this temple is built on a huge area of land. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens to add to the natural beauty of the hills nearby. A large number of devotees come to the temple in hope of getting their wishes granted by Lord Hanuman.


Moti Dungri: Built by Seth Jai Ram Paliwal in the early 18th century Moti Dungri is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist destinations in Jaipur. The temple boasts of an excellent location, that atop a hill, in the very heart of the city. It is home to a huge idol of Lord Ganesha, the diety of the temple. Though is always full of devotees, it is especially so on Wednesdays because of the weekly fair.


Laxmi Narayan Mandir: It is also known as the Birla temple and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver and his consort Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. It is built of the finest quality of white marble and showcases excellent craftsmanship of modern times. The temple’s three huge domes represent three different approaches to the religion and look mesmerising when lit up at night.




Tejaji Mandir: This temple is devoted to Veer Teja or Tejaji, a famous folk deity of Rajasthan who is worshipped by people of many communities. Legend has it that he was born in the historical Nagavanshi Jats family as a blessing by the Naga-deity. This brilliant architecture of the temple promises to make you feel like you have stepped back in time. The place is a must visit if you are an art or a history enthusiast.
